Introduction
In my photojournal, "Impressions of India," photographs capture the diverse images of my Indian heritage. My photographs reflect the rich culture of the religions, transportation, food and arts found in India.
As I travelled, I discovered the diversity and assortment of people in the country. The art of photography highlights the greatness and beauty of India's scenery and distinct culture that I could capture visually.
This was my third visit to India, but the first in the past four years. Visiting India at a mature age helped me comprehend my surroundings, I understood the suffering and poverty in the slums and on the streets which caused me to view the world from a different angle. After this self-realization, I promised myself that I would become a journalist in order to help the people of India. With a journalism degree, I want to help the villagers by bringing attention to these problems and help them get access to safe health care, education, and sanitization methods. With a privileged education, I would be able to give back to my home country and make an impact on the suffering world. Even though I am only one mere human being among eight billion people, I will do everything I can to help make my country and this world a better place.
All the pictures in this website were shot by my Dad and I.
